Assess
We wanted to install solar on two of our manufacturing plants to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy costs. Beam Solar supported us through the entire process from idea through to installation. Through their Assessment process they were able to recommend the optimal size system at each site and secure a large incentive through the VEEC scheme.
Procure
Beam managed the procurement process through the Beam Solar platform, delivering PPA pricing below budget. This involved two weighted reverse auctions, one for each site. VEECs were created by a third party so that the solar suppliers could focus on their core competency of delivering solar to a high quality at reasonable cost.
Manage
Beam supported us through contract execution, project delivery and provided a post-installation audit. The two projects were delivered on time and on budget despite various challenges with lockdowns and travel restrictions. Solar is now providing over 20% of our electricity and generating positive cashflow at the same time.
